tipright.app is a collection of free tip calculators for 18 personal services, from tattoo artists and nail salons to hotel housekeeping and movers. Enter your service total and see tip amounts at every level instantly, with no button to press and no page to reload.
Why we built it
Most tip calculator sites are slow, cluttered with ads above the tool, or so generic they don't account for the norms of specific services. A hotel housekeeping tip works nothing like a tattoo tip: flat rate per night vs percentage, different etiquette, different amounts. We built a dedicated calculator for each service with the specific context, benchmarks, and etiquette that actually applies.
How it works
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. There's no server, no account, and no data collected. Calculations happen instantly as you type. The shareable URL feature lets you encode your calculation into a link and send it to whoever you're tipping with.
Our principles
- Tool first. The calculator is always the first thing you see. No content wall, no email gate, no forced scroll.
- Specific, not generic. Each service has its own tipping culture. We research and present the real norms, not a one-size-fits-all percentage.
- Fast everywhere. No custom fonts, no heavy frameworks, no tracking scripts. Every page loads in under a second even on slow mobile connections.
- Honest. When tipping norms are genuinely debated (should you tip the salon owner?), we say so rather than pretending there's a single right answer.
